Day-by-Day Itinerary
Arrival Day – Welcome to Tanzania
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport where our team will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi. Meet your guides, do an equipment check, and enjoy a full briefing before the adventure begins.

Day 1 – Londorossi Gate → Mti Mkubwa Camp
Your adventure begins on Kilimanjaro’s western side. Hike through lush rainforest surrounded by giant trees, tropical vegetation, and wildlife. Keep an eye out for colobus monkeys and colorful birds as you slowly begin acclimatizing.

Hiking Time: 3–4 hrs
Habitat: Rainforest
Day 2 – Mti Mkubwa Camp → Shira 1 Camp
Leave the rainforest behind as the landscape transforms into moorland. Wide-open views, volcanic terrain, giant lobelias, and Kilimanjaro's impressive scenery begin to unfold.
Distance: 8 km
Hiking Time: 5–6 hrs

Day 3 – Shira 1 Camp → Shira 2 Camp
A shorter hiking day focused on acclimatization. Cross the beautiful Shira Plateau while enjoying panoramic views of Kibo Peak and Mount Meru.
The slower pace gives your body extra time to adapt to altitude — one of the reasons Lemosho has such a strong summit success rate.

Day 4 – Shira 2 Camp → Lava Tower → Barranco Camp
One of the most important acclimatization days. Hike toward Lava Tower (4,630m) before descending into Barranco Valley.
Experience Kilimanjaro’s famous “climb high, sleep low” strategy while hiking through dramatic alpine desert landscapes.

Day 5 – Barranco Camp → Karanga Camp
Start the day climbing the famous Barranco Wall — one of the highlights of the entire route.
After incredible panoramic views, continue through rolling valleys toward Karanga Camp while continuing to acclimatize.

Hiking Time: 4–5 hrs
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 6 – Karanga Camp → Barafu Camp
Today brings you to Barafu Camp — your final base camp before summit night.
Spend the afternoon resting, hydrating, preparing gear, and mentally preparing for the biggest challenge of the trip.

Hiking Time: 3–4 hrs
Habitat: Alpine Desert
Day 7 – Summit Day: Barafu Camp → Uhuru Peak (5,895m) → Mweka Camp
Around midnight, begin your summit push beneath a sky full of stars.
Reach Stella Point before making the final climb toward Uhuru Peak — the highest point in Africa (5,895m).
Watch sunrise above the clouds, celebrate your achievement, and take in one of the most unforgettable moments of your life.
After celebrating at the summit, descend back down toward Mweka Camp.
Distance: 17 km
Hiking Time: 10–14 hrs
Habitat: Arctic Summit Zone & Rainforest
Day 8 – Mweka Camp → Mweka Gate → Moshi
Your final hiking day takes you back through beautiful rainforest trails toward Mweka Gate.
Receive your official Kilimanjaro summit certificate before transferring back to Moshi for hot showers, celebration, and well-earned rest.
